Members Area contains BASC member's personal profile, achievements
and other swim related information. No need to ask questions like
which events am I going to participate?
This page allows a member to login to this web site. The member then has
access to the information that is otherwise unavailable
to the general public.
Depending on the access level of the member he or she can view and
also update information that is relevant to the member.
The gala co-ordinator not only adds the participating gala events
but also selects and notifies the participants based on their previous
times, all within this web environment. As a result the swimmers will
be aware of their events well in advance. Updating the swim results
will also automatically generate the PB times and club records, if
any. The cycle can begin again for the next gala using the current
information stored in the web from anywhere and anytime by the authorised
co-ordinator.
The Club/News Co-Ordinator will be able to publish the BASC club events,
news and announcemnts - none requiring the knowledge of web authoring
technology. Just login and type in the news content and submit - as
easy as this.
The junior members (and of course parents on their behalf) can confirm on this
place whether they will be able to attend the gala or not. They can
also view their history of achievements (PB's). They will also be
able to check when the gala fee is due and how much (soon).
The Swimming Coaches can view the progress of their squad. They will
also be able to update the time based on their time trials (soon).
It is expected that this website will ease the workload of the Committee
Members, Gala-Coordinator, Membership Co-ordinator and News Co-ordinator
and will also significantly improve communication with swimmers, parents
and wider world.
